ROLE - Senior Electrical Engineer, PE

LOCATION - Tampa, FL.

TERM - Permanent

PREREQUISITE - P.E License

SALARY- $120,000 - $140,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

My client an international Engineering and Systems Integration company are on the lookout for a proven Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team on a Permanent basis near Tampa, FL.

The ideal candidate is a Senior Electrical Engineer with a P.E license and industrial Engineering experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide calculations, power system analyses, studies, and specifications of equipment and materials to support technical documents and project needs.
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate discipline engineering activities from initiation to completion.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the project's detailed electrical system design.
  • Ensure discipline schedule and budget are met.
  • Provide technical assistance to discipline staff.
  • Check and PE sign and seal final discipline documents.

Ideal Experience:

  • Experience in front-end engineering, including feasibility and conceptual design studies and the development of engineering design packages.
  • Strong background in detailed design and specifications for electrical equipment.
  • Experience with capacity upgrades, operational troubleshooting, and facility engineering.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Experience developing and owning engineering reports, creating and documenting engineering calculations, and summary reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the United States is highly preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in engineering design, with a focus on leading projects.
  • Proficiency in using ETAP software.
  • Hands-on fieldwork experience.
  • Allen-Bradley programming experience.
  • Experience in Design for Switchgear, VFDs and Soft Starters.
  • Prior experience in petrochemicals, refineries, and/or phosphate industries is highly preferred.
