Overview
The purpose of this position is to provide external marketing and communications support for CLIENT in Rhode Island. Under the direction of the Communications Manager, this position will develop and distribute marketing and communications for CLIENT customers. The position will assist in developing and executing upon content marketing, social media, digital communications, and marketing strategies to meet customer needs and drive customer satisfaction. The position will maintain appropriate systems and communication channels, including email, social media, and web platforms, and will develop actionable reporting on the performance of communication efforts. This position will proactively engage with internal stakeholders to manage the timing, content, and coordination of multiple messages and content updates from internal and external groups.

Responsibilities
Develop communications for external stakeholders across various platforms, including email, social media, web and print.
Serve in a consultative role to internal stakeholders; assist in developing targeted communication programs and tactics to meet communication objectives.
Participate in marketing and communications strategy development.
Drive targeted external communication programs to address specific business needs and meet specified objectives.
Maintain communication systems and channels, including email and social media dissemination platforms, blog and content website, Sharepoint, O365 and others as directed.
Generate reports to gauge the effectiveness of communications and then develop action plans to continuously improve and innovate our marketing and communications.
Serve as a critical checkpoint for process development, improvement, and analysis, as well as for technological
enhancements, impacting CLIENT customers.
Provide logistic and messaging support for customer events, trade shows, and meetings.
Provide consistent brand voice and tone across all mediums.
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Work to promote a constructive culture and a safe work environment within the organization.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or relevant field
3-5 years' work in communications or related field
Advanced proficiency in personal computing skills, including web and social media, and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a team; a strong focus on constructive culture and appropriate behaviors
Excellent writing skills
Excellent interpersonal and oral communications skills. Leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in business, communications, or relevant field
5+ years' experience in communications or marketing
Experience in electric and/or gas utility communications

Pay Range: $23 - $26 Hourly

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
