THE POSITION

With the guidance of the General Manager and Sales Manager, the Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources, processes, and personnel. The role involves strategic planning, performance monitoring, and implementing best practices to achieve operational excellence and support the company's growth objectives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce costs and increase productivity.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and individual growth.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Oversee inventory management and supply chain logistics.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve operational issues and enhance customer experience.
  • Communicate directly with customers as needed.
  • Execute pricing by calculating all costs and adding a margin.
  • Participate in business planning and review meetings.
  • Oversee and execute general business administration tasks.
  • Manage company resources through budgeting, forecasting, and procurement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education.
  • Experience managing and directing a team.
  • Operations experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong engineering foundational knowledge.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
