Job Description

Great opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to function as a Project Lead for custom product development. Design custom electrical hardware for industrial and power generation applications. Super varied products across low and high voltage systems, with lots of product categories and applications within those groups. Work is not cookie cutter and varies from project to project. You'll support design of electrical components for switchboards, switchgear, panel boards, docking panels, circuit breakers, control equipment, and related enclosures for Industrial and Commercial Power Networks. As a Project Lead, you'll work directly from customer requirements, specifications, and one-line diagrams. This is a very collaborative environment and you'll have support from Mechanical Leads, drafters & designers, software pros, and a highly technical management team focused on giving engineers all they need for success.

Strong software skills aren't required, but if you have the ability to configure and program common industrial controls, that would be great. Not a strength, but want to learn that? You'll have that chance. Team and environment that is happy to teach and help you grow your skills. Experience just in low or medium voltage systems, or are specialized within a particular product family? You can learn more product types.

If you want the freedom to own your work, make technical decisions, and drive projects forward, then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Target salary in the $100-120K range (flexible though for experienced people).

REQUIRED:

  • BS in Engineering or Technology discipline (or proven industry experience)
  • 5+ years of professional electrical product development / design
  • Ability to complete design of related electrical hardware and components, like wiring diagrams, AC/DC schematics, etc.
  • Experience with relevant 2D or 3D CAD tools for electrical design
  • Excellent communication skills

DESIRED:

  • Software skills related to common industrial controls programming - HMI, PLC, related networking, etc. - is a plus, but not required
