Azure Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced Azure Solutions Architect for our client at , Springfield, VA (REMOTE option OK) with a strong background in DevOps practices to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, while integrating DevOps methodologies to enhance our development and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design:

• Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Implementation:
• Oversee the deployment of Azure services and ensure they meet business requirements.
• DevOps Integration:
• Collaborate with development teams to implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.

Automation:

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Azure Resource Manager, Terraform, or PowerShell.
• Performance Monitoring:
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place.

Technical Guidance:

• Provide technical leadership and support to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Security Compliance:
• Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with security and governance policies.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain documentation for architecture designs, processes, and procedures.
• Continuous Learning:
• Stay updated with the latest Azure features and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Additional:

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Azure Solutions Architect or similar role.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
