Compensation: $95,000 - $110,000 base salary Location: Buffalo, New York. This is a 100% onsite role, there is no remote or work-from-home option. Key Responsibilities: Foster a proactive and positive safety culture by exemplifying safety behaviors and practices. Regularly review and update written safety programs, conduct audits, and investigate accidents. Track incident metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Handle worker's compensation incidents confidentially, addressing the needs of both employees and the company. Collaborate with business partners, regulatory agencies, and employees to address safety requirements and initiatives. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and requirements. Communicate safety issues, trends, regulatory updates, and training materials to employees, leadership, and direct reports. Oversee the development and performance management of direct reports. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in safety, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Bachelor's degree in safety or a related field, or equivalent experience. Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, training procedures, inspection protocols, and auditing practices. Experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is essential. Familiarity with DOT, MSHA, and other federal regulations is preferred. Strong ability to prioritize tasks, excellent time management, and organizational skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities. Demonstrates professionalism and upholds the organization's core values. Effective communication skills, capable of presenting information to senior leaders and clients. Willingness to work overtime as needed during shutdowns or periods of peak activity.
