About the position

We are seeking a commercial finance leader who is analytical, numerical, and a detail-oriented critical thinker. The ideal candidate will be in a #2 position at their current place of employment and is seeking an opportunity to step up into a VP of Finance or CFO position to focus on value creation, strategic planning, and commercial growth. They will be the right hand of the CEO and an integral part of the team, driving business building and growth by providing leverage on all financial, administrative, legal, and commercial matters, including contract negotiations, business planning for new products/markets, debt management, and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning and analysis efforts to facilitate strategic decision-making and growth
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and audits, while ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory reporting requirements
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, right-hand to the CEO, and provide strategic insights on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, and risk

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Accounting and/or trained at a Big 4 or equivalent for several years
  • Candidate is ideally the current #2 in the finance department and is looking for an opportunity to maximize their potential and step into the #1 position.
  • Solid US GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
  • Proficiency with accounting software (we use SAGE and QuickBooks), Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Solid background with Tax, Legal and Compliance, as well as multi-entity reporting (Immix has 2 legal entities: US and UK)
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a small team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Remote in the US
