  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Volt is immediately hiring for Software Engineer II on Remote Sitting
As a Software Engineer II, you will
  • Design & Develop enterprise-level software solutions on the ESRI GIS platform and ArcFM Solution.
  • Implement code and solutions with a variety of technologies to customize desktop, web, and mobile based solutions for electric, gas, water and wastewater, and telecom utility clients. Technologies used include:
  • C#, .NET, VB, ArcObjects, SQL, Python, HTML, XML, JavaScript, Azure DevOps, Jenkins CI, Jira, Bitbucket and GitFlow, IIS 7+, Windows installer XML
  • Solve internal and external technical issues across database configuration, software defects, and solution education.


Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems preferred, or related field with computer emphasis. Other technical degrees considered in combination with experience.
  • Master of Science in CS or CIS on top of any BS or BA also considered.
  • Technical certifications in combination with experience also considered.
  • 4+ years experience developing end-user applications and interfaces in a .NET, C# development environment.
  • 4+ years experience developing end-user applications and interfaces with an object-oriented programming language.
  • 4+ years experience with commercial RDBMS such as Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Experience in Windows-based software development tools, including Visual Studio.
  • 2+ years experience developing integrations, customizations, and extensions for the ESRI ArcGIS technology stack.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and/or Jenkins.


Preferred/Plus
  • Experience with the Azure/Azure DevOps technology stack.
  • Experience with secure coding practices and DevSecOps.
  • 2+ years experience developing integrations, customization, and extensions for the ArcFM Solution technology stack.
  • Advanced-level experience working with electric, gas, water and wastewater, or telecom utility companies.
  • Advanced-level experience with Windows Installer XML (WiX


Duration: 1 year + possible ext.
Location: Fully Remote
Pay: $55/hr to $60/hr.

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
