Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to lead their production. The ideal candidate will come from a metal manufacturing background with experience in a just in time production setting. With shifting priorities and the need to juggle the production floor and administrative tasks, this will be a high priority role. Looking for someone with strong communication skills who can lead their team towards a common goal. Expect to have around 10 direct reports and 150 plus indirect.

Should have experience in LEAN and CI initiative along with maintaining a high level of safety and quality standards. Must be able to track metrics and use KPI's to drive processes and output. This is an ISO 9001 setting.

Key Deliverables
In year one, the individual in this role will be responsible for several major initiatives including:
  • Analyze, define and implement a plan that clearly defines team roles and responsibilities, as well as identifying goals and objectives that support the company s goals around safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Define and implement regular operating mechanisms to drive accountability and results.
  • Increase operator efficiency and machine utilization.
  • Improve delivery and reduce inventory turns through process improvement initiatives and people development.
