We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Property Accountant to manage the property financial operations for our real estate portfolio. This role reports directly to ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, analyze, and interpret leases, including annual reviews of lease abstracts and rent rolls
  • Prepare and analyze tenant statements and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate billing of all rents and additional charges
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in tenant accounts
  • Prepare and manage property budgets
  • Handle tenant operating escalations, monthly payments, and true-ups
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Analyze and prepare property depreciation schedules
  • Compile supporting documentation for tenant audits
  • Collaborate closely with property managers, the controller, and other key stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of experience in property accounting
  • Expertise in CAM reconciliation
  • Proficiency in Yardi accounting software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
