About The Role

Are you a passionate educator with a strong background in physical education/health? Have you taken the Praxis exam? Join us at Brainscape, a leading educational platform for flashcards, to enhance how students learn.

We're seeking Physical Education/Health Teachers for a 5-8 week project to refine and lead the creation of a flashcard course aimed at mastering content for the Praxis physical education and health exams, specifically the Praxis (5857) - Health and Physical Education, Praxis (5091) - Physical Education: Content Knowledge, and Praxis (5551) - Health Education.

Role Overview

• Design the Educational Course (10%): Craft an outline for the flashcard course using your knowledge of the Praxis physical education and health exam objectives.
• Lead Flashcard Creation (50%): Lead one to two content creators in creating flashcards for the Praxis exams. Yes, you will have a small team at your disposal!
• Review Flashcards (20%): Evaluate and revise the draft flashcards to ensure they meet learning objectives and maintain pedagogical integrity.
• Create Flashcards (10%): Develop engaging and informative flashcards to fill gaps in the course, incorporating key concepts and facts relevant to the Praxis exams.
• Choose the Images Needed (10%): Collaborate with graphic designers to enhance flashcards with visual elements that boost learner engagement.
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong academic credentials in physical education and health, suitable for secondary education.
• Experience with Praxis or similar educational certification exams is a must.
• Proven ability to develop or teach educational content in physical education and health.
• Excellent proofreading, editing, and writing skills.
• Detail-oriented, with a commitment to high-quality educational standards.
• Passionate about education and helping students succeed.
• Available to start immediately and commit to 10-15 hours per week.
