About the Role:

Join our dynamic Transportation team as a Senior Transportation Project Leader, where you'll be at the forefront of exciting highway and municipal roadway projects in the vibrant Austin area. What You'll Do:

  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, guiding them through every phase of the project, from initial concept to final delivery.
  • Project Oversight: Lead the charge in managing transportation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers, surveyors, scientists, and public involvement specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Strategic Growth: Play a pivotal role in the strategic growth of our transportation practice, setting goals for sales, profitability, and technical excellence.
  • Innovation: Leverage cutting-edge technologies and modern engineering practices to deliver exceptional results on all projects.
  • Business Development: Identify new project opportunities, lead proposal development, and drive business growth through strategic client engagements.
  • Thought Leadership: Enhance our brand in the industry by participating in professional societies and presenting at industry conferences.
  • Process Improvement: Support and enhance operational structures and procedures, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the department.

What Were Looking For:

  • Client-Centric: A proven track record of successfully managing client relationships, particularly in the transportation sector.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in roadway engineering and/or construction projects, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, with a focus on achieving outstanding project outcomes.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: An innate ability to identify new business opportunities and drive them to fruition.
  • Industry Experience: Extensive experience with TxDOT projects and other transportation clients in Texas, with precertification in at least one work category.
  • Educational Background: A Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field is required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Professional Credentials: Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing business development efforts, including proposal development, contract negotiations, and project planning.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, with a focus on both the big picture and critical project details.
