The Major Incident Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities required to respond to major incidents. This role ensures that incidents are resolved efficiently and effectively, minimizing impact on business operations and ensuring high levels of service availability. The Major Incident Manager will work closely with various IT teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to drive incident resolution and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Incident Management: Lead the response to major incidents, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective incident resolution.
  • Communication: Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on the status of major incidents.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of incidents, actions taken, and outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance incident management practices.
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to IT staff on incident management processes and best practices.
