Job Summary
Directs the functions and procedures necessary to compile the general ledger and financial reports for the Magnolia Regional Health Center. Assists in preparation of budgets; prepares or assists in preparation of reports required by regulatory agencies or third parties. Also assists in analyzing financial reports, conducting audits, forecasting revenue, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Oversees and manages all activities and employees of the finance department. Works with other departments to implement policies and provide information for operations. Directs maintenance of the financial modules of the Meditech computer system. Maintains financial records of all subsidiaries of Magnolia Regional Health Center. Performs other related tasks as requested by the CEO, CFO, or Board of Trustees of MRHC.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration from a four-year college or university; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification/Licensure Requirements
CPA (certified public accountant) with the state board in which you reside is preferred.
Experience
Three years of general accounting experience in healthcare is preferred.
