Director of North America Business Operations

roadsurfer is looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to head our business operations in North America. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of the region, managing revenue, costs, and profitability (P&L). As a key driver of our growth strategy, you will work closely with both the North America team and global leadership to tailor our offerings for the market, build strategic partnerships, and drive customer acquisition. Your role will be critical in shaping the future of roadsurfer in North America, ensuring operational excellence and expanding our footprint across the region.

THE ROLE - YOUR PASSION

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• P&L Management: Oversee and optimize the North American Profit & Loss statement, driving revenue growth while managing costs.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth operations, including fleet management, customer service, and regulatory compliance.
• Customer Experience: Continuously improve service quality using customer feedback.
• Market Expansion: Develop and implement growth strategies, identifying new markets, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.
• Revenue Growth: Lead sales strategies, pricing models, and marketing efforts tailored to the North American market.
• Partnerships: Build and maintain strategic partnerships to enhance market presence.
• Financial Reporting: Provide insights on performance, risks, and opportunities to the global leadership team.
• Process Implementation: Adapt and implement existing processes from the European market to suit the North American region.
  
  

WHAT YOU NEED TO SURF WITH US ON ONE WAVE

• MBA in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field required.
• Must have at least 6-8 years of experience in commercial management, with a strong track record of managing P&L and driving business growth, ideally in the travel, tourism, or outdoor industries.
• Experience working with companies based in Germany or the European Union is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of the North American market, including consumer behavior, regulations, and competitive landscape.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Strategic thinker, comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Passion for travel, adventure, and the outdoors is a plus.

• The base salary range for this role is USD $ 150k per year - USD $ 180k per year. (based on qualifications/experience and home city)
