We are looking for a Security Analyst to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Security Analyst, you will be responsible for implementing security strategies, maintaining security tools, and monitoring security activities across a variety of applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement security strategies, and maintain security tools across the organization.
  • Collaborate with vendors for support and work with IT team members to address security issues and needs.
  • Respond to security alerts and monitor phishing emails.
  • Conduct security reviews for new technologies introduced within the organization.
  • Research and identify security incidents and threats, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Perform hands-on security and vulnerability mitigation as needed.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits.
  • Troubleshoot, recommend, and execute action plans for resolving security issues.
  • Investigate, report, and remediate security threats and incidents.
  • Monitor and maintain SIEM detection rules and log collections.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Cyber Security principles and methodologies
  • Experience with SIEM Tools for security management
  • Knowledge of Security Monitoring processes and procedures
  • Ability to identify and mitigate Cyber Threats
  • Experience in conducting Vulnerability Assessment and implementing corrective measures
  • Proficiency in employing Vulnerability Scanning tools and interpreting results
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Relevant professional certifications in Cyber Security would be an advantage
  • Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field of Cyber Security
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Availability to respond to security incidents outside of normal working hours when required.
