Role: FP&A Manager / Lead Senior Financial Analyst - Hybrid (2 days in office each week, 3 days from home but are flexible here)

Location: Greater Cleveland / Akron, OH (Centrally located). Must currently live in the Greater Cleveland / Akron Area metro. Relocation assistance is not available.

Position Overview:

  • Assist with creating the annual operating and capital budgets (Capex, Opex)
  • Assist with the forecasting process - Work closely with the finance team and business leaders to gather insight into business trends to update monthly forecasts
  • Track financial and operational KPIs (i.e. Margin analysis by store, product/service mix, by month, etc.) and perform other FP&A and operational related analytics
  • Responsible for monthly executive P&L reporting and being able to present monthly results and commentary to the Executive Leadership Team
  • Responsible for financial modeling in Excel and leveraging analytical tools like Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, etc. to synthesize the data and create financial proformas in order to help management make meaningful business decisions.
  • Prepare financial schedules used for reporting and analysis such as trending, variance analysis (comparisons to budget, prior year, etc.), sensitivity/what if/analysis/scenarios
  • Analyze variance analysis of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) and provide commentary explaining the financial information for management, and insights and working with the business owners/leads
  • Identify growth opportunities in the business and develop ideas with organization leaders into strategic business plans including financial outcomes
  • Presentations – produce enterprise-level reporting such as P&Ls, KPI’s, reviews financial presentation produced by the broader finance team including monthly financial reviews with executives, board of directors’ presentations, and ad hoc supplemental materials
  • Assist with due diligence for M&A (mergers and acquisitions) activities that the company engages in as it continues to scale
  • Assist with system implementations (i.e. compensation plans, etc.)

Background Profile:

  • Knowledgeable in Corporate finance / FP&A, accounting, related reporting and operations
  • 5-8+ years of Finance or Accounting experience with a blend of public accounting and corporate industry FP&A experience preferred (ok with someone coming straight out of public accounting)
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable with preparing financial statements and understanding of the interrelation with the Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement
  • Exposure to accounting and finance software (SAP, Oracle, HFM, Hyperion Planning/Essbase, Power BI/Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, etc.) is a big plus
  • Advanced degrees/certifications strongly preferred (CPA, CFA, CMA, FMVA, Financial Modeling, MBA, MAcc, MSA)
  • BA degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field or related equivalent work experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and is comfortable data mining and creating/updating Excel models/templates to use for recurring monthly analysis
