The role

Work closely with the Director of Fair and Responsible Banking (FARB) to support SoFi’s second line FARB program. Engage in enterprise-wide consulting on matters relating to fair lending compliance and work with the Director to complete fair lending testing and monitoring activities. Participate in regulatory examinations and partner with the analytics team to execute the FARB testing and monitoring plan.

What you’ll do:


  • Function as the subject matter expert responsible for completion of fair lending testing and monitoring, e.g., matched pair analysis and other file-level review across lending products.
  • Support the first and second-line data analytics teams regarding data quality, mapping, and other related functions.
  • Analyze data for potential fair lending concerns.
  • Maintain documentation regarding testing and monitoring performed.
  • Prepare reports summarizing the results of testing and monitoring, including reporting issues and gaps to senior management.
  • Assist with audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Oversee and/or execute special projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrate SoFi’s core values, support of SoFi’s policies and practices, and encourage a culture of compliance throughout the enterprise.


What you’ll need:


  • Possess and maintain superior knowledge of compliance laws and regulations including Fair Lending, Reg B (ECOA), Fair Housing Act (FHA), HMDA and other applicable consumer compliance regulations.
  • Significant experience with underwriting and/or underwriting quality control, and loan pricing practices, particularly for mortgage lending products.
  • Five (5) plus years of fair lending experience with a focus on testing and monitoring activities.
  • Experience with market penetration analysis and action planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
