JOB SUMMARY

In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and Provider Relations, coordinates physician recruitment to meet the growth and strategic needs of the system. Responsible for daily sourcing of physician candidates to include; ad development, ad placement and maintenance of physician job-board advertisements, including digital media, social media, direct mail/email, and messaging. Provides oversite of established ads and maintenance of physician job-board advertisements. Performs initial screening of physician to assess applicability of education/skills/experience against position criteria, providing director with findings to facilitate selection process. Oversees the performance of physician recruitment functions including, initial screening of physician candidates to assess applicability of education/skills/experience against position criteria, interview scheduling, travel, accommodations, itinerary, and the preparation of related documents for appropriate leadership prior to interviews. Ensure all necessary documents are obtained and provided to director prior to interview. Maintains awareness of physician recruitment process to proactively take appropriate action to ensure active candidates transition through the process smoothly. Prepares, updates and maintains related electronic files and reports.

Physician Recruitment

  • In collaboration with senior leadership, service line directors, and Business Development & Provider Relations, assists in identifying HHCS and community physician recruitment needs.
  • In collaboration with the office of Business Development and Provider Relations, coordinates physician recruitment efforts to meet the growth and strategic needs of the system.
  • Is responsible for sourcing and phone screening of physician candidates.
  • Provides oversite of established ads and maintenance of physician job-board advertisements. Oversees the performance of physician recruitment functions including, initial screening of physician candidates to assess applicability of education/skills/experience against position criteria, interview scheduling, travel, accommodations, itinerary, and the preparation of related documents for appropriate leadership prior to interviews.
  • Maintains awareness of physician recruitment process to proactively take appropriate action to ensure active candidates transition through the recruitment and onboarding process smoothly. Prepares, updates, and maintains related electronic files and reports.
  • Assists with the coordination of the Visa process for all J1 and H1B visa candidates.
  • Works collaboratively with the onboarding team in providing regular recruiting updates.
  • Initiates the process for all physician contracting for Hamilton Health Care System, Inc.
  • Develops relationships as appropriate and necessary with local entities such as physician groups, medical societies, etc. to further the goals, mission and vision of Hamilton Health Care System.
  • Responds to and coordinates physician inquiries regarding employment practice opportunities and other potential HHCS-physician relationships.
  • In working with Manager Practice Relations in planning, organizing and implementing retention strategies to assist recruited physicians to become acclimated to the community and assists in their transition.

The position has a reporting relationship to the Director- Business Development & Provider Relations.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Management, Business Management, or similar health related field or similar professional experience.

Licensure: N/A

Experience: One to five years’ recruitment experience or related physician relations experience, physician recruitment experience preferred.

Physical, Mental, Environmental And Working Conditions

Requires a light or low amount of physical exertion. Manual dexterity and physical manipulation are limited. The need for physical stamina and endurance is of minimal or low significance. The degree of physical strain produced on-the-job somewhat taxing, but does not confine the employee to a prescribed body posture. Body movement usually involves sitting and intermittent walking. This position exceeds these low intensity demands rarely, 10% of the time or less.
