Job Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Procurement Professional at our location in Piney Flats, Tennessee. The primary role will be to handle procurement processes and supplier negotiations in the aerospace parts manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite, interacting with various internal departments and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Accurately process customer credit applications and maintain detailed customer credit records.
Identify and establish relationships with approved suppliers to secure the best value materials for customer requirements and production.
Negotiate pricing and long-term purchase agreements, and create purchase orders.
Coordinate timely delivery of materials from suppliers to maintain required and approved stocking levels.
Evaluate Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Commercial Contracts, Drawings, and Purchase Requests.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, disseminate appropriate information to suppliers, and incorporate necessary details in the purchase orders.
Address and resolve any issues regarding purchase requirements, delivery timelines, and open issues with suppliers and internal departments such as Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.
Work closely with the Engineering department on technical issues and newly developed products.
Handle all repairs and warranties related to procured items.
Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Visual ERP System for data entry and management.
Use your negotiation and forecasting skills to make informed procurement decisions and justify these decisions when necessary.

Possess strong customer service skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent communication skills to convey information efficiently amongst team members and suppliers
Knowledge of office functions and administrative tasks is essential
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Proven experience in planning, forecasting, and procurement processes
Familiarity with materials handling and warehouse management
Ability to ensure quality in production and procurement activities
Strong negotiation skills to secure the best prices and terms from suppliers
Background in engineering and understanding of manufacturing processes
Proficiency in handling technical issues related to procurement and production
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions
Ability to create and manage purchase orders and financial notes
Onsite presence required; this is not a remote position
Understand and adhere to supplier management best practices.
