Project Manager / Business Analyst
Our global media client is seeking a Project Manager / Business Analyst to work on various entertainment media distribution applications. The Project Manager / Business analyst has a key role in ensuring that a suite of critical business applications are functional and work to spec. You will be working directly with the business users to document business requirements, as well as working with developer teams to ensure requirements are getting delivered. You will also have experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), application support, and working within an Agile development framework. Leveraging Jira for user stories is required. The preference is for candidates with prior TV or Film Entertainment media experience. Must have excellent business communications and be able to work partially onsite (Hybrid) in the Los Angeles area within PST hours.

Responsibilities will include




  • Engage with a broad range of business users to drive business requirements, analyze data and processes, and partner with the project teams to create work products that lead to the implementation of technical solutions




  • Build and manage relationships with supporting IT teams within the matrixed organization to effectively deliver work products




  • Support the design, build and maintenance of dashboards across the film landscape as well as helping create analytics solutions for client-facing projects




  • Hands on functional support and escalation point for the business as needed with reports, data analysis and dashboard development




  • Work closely with the Service Delivery leads to ensure work products are being delivered on schedule and with quality




  • Partner and collaborate with the business unite and broader Technology organizations to make improvements and resolve issues in support of the business




  • Understand IT industry and trends, emerging technologies and use them as needed to achieve project objectives




  • Become a Subject Matter Expert and identify technologies that can deliver business process opportunities and synergies across the different functions




  • Perform other duties as assigned




Requirements and Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience




  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, successfully leading cross-functional teams and demonstrating proficiency in Agile methodologies




  • Minimum 5 years of experience with business analysis, requirements gathering and creation of functional requirements including creating User Stories, workflows and acceptance criteria for core features/functionality



  • Outstanding requirements documentation skills with proficiency in creating and tracking Jira tickets

  • Identification of project issues and gaps, tracking project progress, and updating the project plan appropriately

  • Experience assisting software development teams with testing


  • Strong ability to multitask, work across multiple projects with both near and offshore teams




  • Experience with reporting/visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau and Data Studio



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical and business concepts with leadership teams, technical developers, and end-users

  • Extensive experience gathering and documenting functional user requirements with a strong knowledge of structured IT analysis methodologies, including process flow definition and data flow diagramming

  • Experience working in an Agile environment

  • Creative and original thinker who is highly self-motivated and has the ability to learn new technologies with a desire to have hands-on experience and an understanding of the business value that it provides

  • A self-starter who can work with little direction and who has a strong attention to detail


  • Comfortable running workshops to facilitate requirements gathering and presenting to key stakeholders




  • Ability to deliver change programs to a varied user base with differing priorities and requirements



  • Prior Film or TV entertainment distribution systems experience (preferred)


Additional Details


The base range for this contract position is $55 - $70/per hour, depending on experience.


Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
