Job Description:

Cutover Manager Overview Generic ETRM: Needs to manage the entire deployment process from the development/pre-production environment to the production environment while having a comprehensive cutover plan that details all activities required to transition to the new ETRM system including Post-Cutover Activities. Data Migration.

We are seeking a highly skilled Cutover Manager to lead the transition and deployment of a new Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire cutover process from development and pre-production environments to the production environment. This role requires the creation and execution of a comprehensive cutover plan, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations while delivering a seamless transition. The Cutover Manager will coordinate data migration, testing, stakeholder communication, and post-cutover support activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Cutover Planning and Execution:

Develop a detailed cutover plan outlining all activities required to transition to the new ETRM system.
Define timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for each phase of the cutover process.
Ensure coordination between technical teams, operations, business users, and other stakeholders.
Oversee cutover rehearsals (mock cutovers) to ensure readiness and resolve any pre-cutover issues.
End-to-End Deployment Management:

Manage the deployment of the ETRM system from development and pre-production environments to the production environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all systems, configurations, and interfaces are properly set up and tested before the cutover.
Ensure business continuity by minimizing downtime and service disruptions during the transition.
Data Migration:

Lead the data migration process, ensuring accurate migration of trading positions, contracts, market data, risk metrics, and historical information.
Coordinate data validation activities, including pre- and post-migration testing, to ensure data integrity.
Identify and resolve any data migration issues that may arise during the cutover process.
Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on cutover status, risks, and any adjustments to timelines.
Work closely with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure a coordinated effort.
Manage expectations and address concerns throughout the cutover process.
Risk and Issue Management:

Identify, document, and mitigate risks associated with the cutover, including system downtime, data integrity issues, and integration failures.
Develop contingency plans for unforeseen challenges during the transition.
Post-Cutover Activities:

Manage post-cutover stabilization, ensuring the new ETRM system functions as expected and meets business requirements.
Provide immediate post-cutover support, troubleshooting issues and coordinating fixes.
Ensure users are fully supported, providing training and documentation where necessary.
Testing and Quality Assurance:

Coordinate end-to-end system testing (including UAT) and validate that all interfaces, data, and configurations are working correctly in the new ETRM environment.
Ensure smooth integration with other business systems such as risk analytics platforms, financial systems, and market data feeds.
