Website Content Strategy

Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Messaging and Outreach, the Digital Content Specialist develops and maintains the college's robust web and digital presence. This includes developing systems to ensure an accurate and optimal website through the coordination and execution of content additions and updates, including written content, images, videos, forms, and other key information. The Digital Content Specialist also regularly reviews analytics and makes recommendations for continued improvement and refinement. In consultation with the Assistant Dean and other faculty and staff, the Digital Content Specialist creates new web pages and posts, manages updates to existing pages, and keeps up with web development best practices, including ensuring that the college's website adheres to website accessibility standards.

Email and Marketing Platforms

In collaboration with, and under the direction of the Assistant Dean and teams across the College of Law, the Digital Content Specialist develops digital marketing emails and other content to be used on the website and through digital channels. The Digital Content Specialist also develops and maintains a weekly calendar that is shared with the campus community and posted on digital displays throughout the campus.

Digital Signage

In collaboration with, and under the direction of the Assistant Dean, and teams across the College of Law, the Digital Content Specialist maintains the college's digital signage, which include 25 interactive and non-interactive messaging boards throughout the law school buildings.

Evolving Duties

The College of Law is rapidly changing and evolving. All staff members are expected to assist with other duties as needed, including duties throughout the entire law school campus.

Expected Salary 60,000 - 80,000
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Expert knowledge of website development and maintenance, including knowledge and experience with Wordpress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL database. Experience with MailChimp or similar email marketing platforms.

Knowledge of law schools and the legal profession. Degree in telecommunications, marketing, journalism, graphic design, or a related field. At least one year of experience with content strategy, SEO best practices, website analytics, accessibility standards, and user experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills, proofreading and copy-editing skills, and interpersonal/customer service skills. Effective time management and organizational skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines. Excellent planning and project management skills. Ability to take initiative, accurately establish priorities, complete complex assignments in a timely manner, and adapt quickly to changing needs and conflicting challenges. Ability to work cooperatively as a team player.
