Senior Agile Practitioner Scrum Master/Project Manager

Title: Senior Agile Practitioner Scrum Master/Project Manager Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid of 2-3 days onsite as needed along with remote work)
Duration: October 2024 June 30, 2025, with strong possibility of an extension

We are looking for a seasoned Agile Practitioner Scrum Master/Project Manager to assist our client in serving as a Sr. Project Manager / Scrum master to work on large projects in the Service Marketing area. Responsibilities will include the following:

• Develop Project Plans: Create detailed project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs.
• Host Regular Project Meetings: Conduct weekly meetings with the project team and managers to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide updates.
• Manage Deadlines : Ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met by coordinating efforts across departments.
• Coordinate with Vendors and Suppliers: Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers as needed for project execution.
• Risk Identification: Continuously assess project risks, including technical, operational, and organizational aspects.
• Mitigation Strategies: Develop risk mitigation plans and proactively address potential issues.
• Quality Control: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet established standards.
• Testing and Validation: Oversee testing phases, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Status Updates: Regularly communicate project progress to stakeholders, adjusting communication style based on the audience (executives, technical teams, etc.).
• Issue Resolution: Address any project-related issues promptly, seeking consensus and maintaining transparency.
• Change Implementation: Facilitate the transition from legacy systems to modernized solutions.
• User Adoption: Promote user acceptance and adoption of new technologies.

• Project Completion: Successfully deliver the project within the specified budget, timeline, and quality standards.
• Stakeholder Satisfaction: Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders, keeping them informed about project status and addressing any concerns promptly.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project success.
• Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, ensuring team members are motivated and aligned with project goals.
• Modernization Achievement: Measure the successful modernization of the 30-year-old technology in the Vehicle Service Contract business area.

Required Skills and Expertise:

• Experience working in a large Safe Agile Team.
• Must be a seasoned Agile Practitioner/Scrum Master like to lead the team and able to influence decisions that will impact the project success.
• Must have large scale project experience.
• Hands on experience performing all Project Manager's duties (e.g. project planning, scope management, financial management, schedule management, etc.)
• Proven ability to create project and executive PowerPoint presentations.
• Experience working in a large cross-functional environment and work closely with the business and IT teams and external vendors.
• Expertise in working with various Scrum Master/Project Manager tools such as Clarity, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft suite of tools.
• Strong team work attitude along with excellent collaboration skills.
