Job Summary: The Avaya Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Avaya communication systems. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure optimal performance and reliability of telecommunication services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design & Implementation:

    • Design and implement Avaya VoIP solutions, including IP Telephony, Contact Center, and unified communications systems.

  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

    • Monitor and maintain the Avaya systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Avaya hardware and software.

  • Configuration & Upgrades:

    • Configure and upgrade Avaya systems as needed, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Documentation:

    • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

  • User Support:

    • Provide technical support and training to users on Avaya products and features.

  • Collaboration:

    • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate Avaya solutions with other IT systems.

  • Compliance & Security:

    • Ensure that all telecommunication systems comply with industry standards and security protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience with Avaya communication systems (e.g., Avaya Aura, IP Office).
  • Strong knowledge of VoIP, SIP, and telephony protocols.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Avaya Certified Support Specialist) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with contact center technologies.
  • Knowledge of related technologies (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
  • Experience with network security and firewall configurations.
