Position Overview:

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our client's preconstruction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of projects. Your expertise will ensure that projects are both profitable and delivered to the highest standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in large-scale commercial and government projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects including government facilities, Class A offices, and commercial buildings.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to create comprehensive and competitive bids.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather the necessary information for estimates.
  • Perform risk assessments and identify potential cost-saving opportunities throughout the bidding process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, including labor costs, materials, and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and client expectations, especially on government contracts.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary to assess the scope of work.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the best pricing.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as an Estimator in the construction industry, ideally with exposure to government and commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations in Georgia.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
