DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Supervisor in Transportation Planning, your role will encompass the development and upkeep of essential data for transportation planning and highway engineering, which includes both desktop and web-based mapping solutions as well as various data layers. You will lead the coordination, preparation, and presentation of critical data necessary for transportation planning and programming activities. Additionally, you will manage and implement cutting-edge Geospatial technologies and methodologies, oversee the evaluation of new GIS software packages, technologies, and updates in anticipation of their deployment, and provide supervision for support, technical assistance, and troubleshooting through Service Desk operations for Central Office bureaus and districts.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week upon successful completion of probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Transportation Planning Specialist 1; or
- Two years of professional transportation planning or transportation programming experience, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics, planning, computer science, or geography; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
