Who We Are

Crowdwave is an exciting new product leveraging the power of LLMs to simulate audiences for consumer sentiment research. Before running costly human surveys to get feedback on new marketing materials, branding, product ideas, etc., companies and researchers will be able to use our product to quickly run surveys on virtual audiences representing specific consumer segments. AI allows for faster, lower-cost research, and unlocks additional types of studies such as iterative follow-up surveys, counterfactual comparisons, and lengthy or in-depth surveys that are impractical with human respondents. We have completed our beta stage and are in the process of preparing for roll out.

What You’ll Do

Crowdwave.ai is seeking a visionary Chief Market Research Officer to lead the research services for enterprise clients. You will apply your deep expertise in market research methodologies to refine and evolve Crowdwave’s core offering, ensuring it meets the highest standards of precision, relevance, and realism. As CMRO, you will:

  • Lead Research Innovation: Bring best practices from traditional market research and emerging technologies to enhance the realism and reliability of Crowdwave’s AI-driven simulations, making them indistinguishable from real human responses.
  • Refine Product Accuracy: Continuously improve the accuracy and responsiveness of our audience simulator by applying advanced research techniques, helping tailor simulations to diverse and niche customer segments.
  • Drive Client Success: Collaborate directly with clients to understand their research needs, ensuring Crowdwave provides actionable insights that help them make faster, data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, engineering, and client services teams to align Crowdwave’s research offerings with industry standards and client expectations, integrating feedback to enhance product development.
  • Thought Leadership: Steer Crowdwave’s research vision, positioning the platform as the go-to solution for businesses seeking real-time, scalable insights that rival traditional market research.
  • Enhance Human-Like Interaction: Use your research expertise to drive the development of nuanced, human-like respondent simulations, making Crowdwave’s platform more realistic and valuable for clients.
  • Set Research Standards: Establish rigorous validation protocols and quality assurance measures to ensure Crowdwave delivers the most accurate and efficient AI-powered insights in the market.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in market research, including significant leadership roles where you have guided research strategies and improved methodologies.
  • Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, with experience in survey design, NPS, customer segmentation, and behavioral research.
  • A strong track record of improving or creating research tools, preferably in SaaS or technology-driven industries.
  • Ability to translate complex research findings into clear, actionable business insights and communicate them effectively to senior leadership.
  • Experience collaborating with product development teams to enhance research tools and integrate customer feedback into product roadmaps.
  • Expertise in client-facing roles, with a demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver insights that meet business needs.
  • Ideally, 2+ years of experience working with AI-powered or data-driven research tools, with a strong understanding of how AI and machine learning can enhance research accuracy and scalability.
  • Ideally, advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in market research, behavioral science, data science, or a related field is preferred.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new product with promising early market signs and a clear, concrete AI-based value proposition, setting new standards in research methodologies by integrating advanced AI technologies to simulate and understand behavior in unprecedented ways. Compensation will be a mix of cash and equity. This is a full time, contract position.
