Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in Operations program management. As an Sr. Operations Program Manager in the Samsung Ads Product and Engineering (P&E) Organization, you will contribute to developing Strategic planning & Intake, Quarterly roadmap planning, and execution process. You support improved organizational efficiency through continuous improvement of internal processes. You manage the collection of Organizational metrics and derive insights from the data to recommend operational improvements.

This role has dual responsibilities of maintaining operational processes and driving cross-functional programs for the Samsung Ads Product and Engineering team.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the P&E’s strategic planning by collaborating with various stakeholders to collect the intake requests and coordinate the planning and prioritization activities.
  • Ensure the strategic planning and prioritization are aligned with organization goals.
  • Publish the Organization’s quarterly committed roadmaps to stakeholders.
  • Establish governance around execution to ensure the teams deliver against the roadmap commits.
  • Define organization-level KPIs for Agile development teams to measure their performance.
  • Implement productivity metrics leveraging Jira and BI tools that are insightful and help the leadership make informed decisions.
  • We are building a data-oriented culture, adopting tools and process improvement projects to achieve operational and business goals.
  • Provide data insights and recommendations to functional leaders on operational efficiencies.
  • Provide visibility to the stakeholder community on the organization's key milestones and business value.
  • Drive the planning, execution, and reviews of organization-level OKRs & MBOs.
  • Maintain an active list of stakeholders, planning schedules, and templates.
  • Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.
  • Meticulously plan and conduct workshops with large audience groups, track and follow up on action items to closure.
  • Identify and mitigate risks early, promoting a smoother path to success and reducing potential disruptions.
  • Provide uniform stakeholder experience through consistent communication and transparency regarding program status, resource requirements, priorities, risks, and issues.


Required Skills And Experiences

  • Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10-12 years in program management of software development projects. With a minimum of four years in an operations role.
  • Experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, and roadmap planning.
  • Experience leading Organizational process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle.
  • A confident problem solver who demonstrates critical thinking and collaboration skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have exceptional leadership, time management, organizational and facilitation skills.


Skills And Qualifications

MUST HAVE Skills:

  • Operations experience - At least four years of current Operations Experience
  • Work with engineering teams for capacity planning, program increment planning, and allocation of resources to prioritized initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Agile Methodology and Metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with the JIRA Platform and Confluence


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in digital advertising, mobile, and/or smart TV is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in shipping consumer and/or enterprise solutions.
  • Experience simultaneously working on multiple programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience communicating effectively across organizational structures and multiple management levels.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
