Summary:
Goldbelt Professional Services, LLC is seeking a Public Health Analyst to work within the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This position will support a wide range of administrative tasks for the NCIRD business service needs. This work will be performed at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Roybal Campus in Atlanta, GA. The CDC is the nation's premier health promotion, prevention, and preparedness agency. The Public Health Analyst will report to Goldbelt Professional Services leadership to ensure the execution of timely, high-quality deliverables for the client.

Summary:
Goldbelt Professional Services, LLC is seeking a Public Health Analyst to work within the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This position will support a wide range of administrative tasks for the NCIRD business service needs. Responsibilities
Essential Job Function:
- Provide public health policy and issues management services to support policy and partnership activities for NCIRD.
- Correspondence and Data Calls:
- Facilitates and develops responses to internal and external policy-related requests including controlled correspondence letters, and requests for information from external partner organizations and stakeholders.
- Supports the policy office with center-wide policy initiatives and issues management requests.
- Supports partner activities, including developing organizing and facilitating partner meetings and webinars, and responding to partner requests
- Develops reports, presentations, and policy guidance documents to support NCIRD leadership
- Helps develop policy documents such as issue briefs, one-pagers, and other materials aligning activities to center goals and leadership priorities.
- Coordinate and solicit input from different entities such as divisions, OD offices, work groups and other agency stakeholders.
- Prepare staff for briefings or presentations related to NCIRD activities
- FOIA Coordination:
- Shall be responsible for tracking and analyzing requests, reviewing responses, engaging with Division and Program staff, and identifying requests and responses that may be high profile or sensitive.
- Provide further support through the following activities:
- Receive and review Requests for Documents (RFDs) from the CDC FOIA office and determine if NCIRD is able to respond to the request.
- Identifying Responsive Records: Contact NCIRD Division points of contact to obtain responsive information, providing suggestions on completing searches; Notify Divisions and Offices about enterprise searches for potentially high-profile requests and request ADP review of records; provide weekly update to Office of Policy Issues Management lead about significant FOIAs in process
- Engage with the CDC FOIA office to obtain additional information or clarification on requests, and arrange for discussions as needed to determine additional needs for information; communicate concerns from program SMEs to the FOIA office as needed to ensure that information is appropriately withheld
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is received and complete and submit to the FOIA office
- Maintain tracking of FOIA statuses using exiting NCIRD systems
- Engage with FOIA office to address concerns
- Exercise good judgement and awareness of sensitivities
- Participate in regular calls to maintain awareness of key topics

- Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and work professionally and collegially with a highly educated, scientific customer base that is under pressure and in the public eye every day.
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently, be solution-oriented, motivated, and committed to customer and company success.
- Ability to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment while balancing multiple competing priorities.
- Expertise in project management tools and software, including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s in Public Health, Health Education, Epidemiology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience reading and interpreting research and statistical data to support public health work.
- Clinical or public health background with experience communicating, coordinating, and working with public health programs.
- Exercising good interpersonal skills to coordinate work that will engage a wide range of programs, issues and staff from a variety of professional backgrounds.
- Experience organizing and managing projects
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to CDC systems.
- Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.
- Experience with Health Communications.
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Education, or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience with a Master’s degree.
