Trading Operations Analyst – Investment Management – Boston, MA

We are seeking candidates for a Trading Operations Analyst position with a top-tier Investment Management firm located in Boston, MA. This will report to the Senior Manager of the Retail SMA Trading Operations Group. The Trading Operations Analyst ensures data integrity for Retail SMA and oversees functions related to the Outsourcing vendor. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of trading experience within financial services with exposure to Retail SMA trading. Candidates with strong Excel, InvestCloud APL, and Onbase financial system experience is preferred.

This is a 4–6-month contract that will pay $30-38/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week. This position is required to be onsite 3 days per week in their Boston office.

Responsibilities:
  • Support oversight of Retail SMA Outsourcing provider, including the review of daily, weekly, and monthly audit reports such as reconciliation reports, data checks, frozen accounts, SLA metrics, and error reports.
  • Monitor Model change rotations to ensure timely and accurate execution, and reviews updates to the rotation list.
  • Provide operational support for Sales Data Management, including reconciliations to maintain data integrity across internal systems.
  • Ensure sponsor data is accurately and completely loaded into internal systems, pulls data from various sponsor platforms, and runs daily and T+1 reconciliations to compare the organizations and sponsor model weights.
  • Identify and communicate issues, working collaboratively with internal and external teams to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot potential issues as they arise.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance pr math-related field required
  • 1-3 years of trading or operations experience within financial services is ideal
  • Previous experience with financial systems such as Onbase, IvnestCloud APL is preferred
  • Experience with Xceptor/AARI is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Strong organization, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
