Position Summary

The Game Development Manager leads and coordinates the development of engaging slot-like games ensuring games are delivered efficiently and successfully and to a high standard of quality. This role involves managing a team of developers while collaborating with other Diamond Game departments including product management, quality assurance and back-office developers. The Game Development Manager must have strong leadership and project management skills and a deep understanding of the game development life cycle, particularly using the Unity engine.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the game development process by overseeing the design and development of high-quality slot-like games.
  • Manage a team of game developers, artists, and designers to ensure efficient and effective collaboration.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Manage project timelines and resource allocation.
  • Ensure the highest quality standard of the games through thorough testing and debugging.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our games are cutting-edge.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to practice Diamond Game's core values and apply them.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as needed and/or requested by management.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, game development, or at least three years relevant work experience required.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional development teams.
  • Extensive experience with Unity and other game development tools.
  • Proven experience with Agile, SQL and SCRUM.
  • Familiar with software development life cycle and best practices.

Knowledge and Abilities Requirements

  • Must be proficient in game development using Unity, C#/C++.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise between creative, technical and business teams.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
