The primary purpose of this position is to develop and implement financial and cash management strategies throughout all functions of the company, as well as ensure compliance with financial requirements and principles. In addition, this role will be responsible for the coordination of all Fluid Power audits, financial analysis of acquisition opportunities, and the annual budget process.

Essential Functions:

  • Audit Compliance - Coordinate all audits of the Fluid Power division, which consists of the annual external audit, sales and use tax audits, and semi-annual bank audits.
  • Strategic Direction - Develop and implement financial strategies throughout all functions of the Fluid Power division.
  • Tax Compliance - Develop with PWC Tax our tax liability and make estimated payments. In addition, work on tax planning and cost savings strategies.
  • Risk Management - Coordinate the annual general insurance contracts with our insurance carriers, as well as be the primary contact on insurance claims.
  • Treasury and Cash Management - Develop and monitor treasury activities with our main financial partners (Foothill Capital and Wells Fargo), implement cash management strategies in regard to setting vendor terms, and negotiate leases terms on major capital projects.
  • Financial Reporting - Prepare the monthly financial package for the board of directors, as well as the published annual report, including footnotes.
  • Financial Analysis - Evaluate potential acquisition candidates by performing due diligence and perform high level analytics on cost and pricing initiatives.
  • Budgeting/Forecasting Coordinate the annual budgeting process and assist in preparing the board of director s presentation.

Experience, Education and Skills:

  • 4 Year Degree in Accountancy, Business, or Finance
  • MBA and CPA preferred but not required.
  • 10+ years in accounting and/or finance role within a corporate organization is required
  • Experience working as a divisional or departmental controller is preferred
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
