The Role

As an Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) Program Specialist, you'll join a lean, high-visibility, high-impact team focused on designing I&D resources and implementing solutions that build an environment where people can join, grow, and thrive professionally at Block regardless of their background.

We are looking for an action-oriented individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves and work closely with our team to ideate, develop, and implement a range of I&D resources and programming at Block. This will be a great opportunity for someone looking to launch their career in Inclusion and Diversity as this individual will have the opportunity to work on projects spanning a range of subject areas setting them up to build a foundation as an I&D Program Manager and/or Business Partner.

You Will

  • Project/Program Coordination
  • Support the execution of I&D programs (eg McKinsey, ELEVATE etc)
  • Assist in the planning and execution of recruiting events and conferences focused on connecting with talent from underrepresented backgrounds (eg UK Black Business Week)
  • Support with planning and execution of major ERG (Communities at Block) internal and external programs and events
  • Identify opportunities to improve program/project processes and resources
  • Program operations and reporting
  • Own the fulfillment of certain I&D data requests for the I&D team
  • Reporting and analysis on I&D data
  • Manage internal resource library for I&D team and internal stakeholders
  • Design and deliver updates to internal stakeholders on the work of the I&D team, including internal diversity data updates
  • Onboard new partners/vendors and support budget/expense management for I&D programs
  • Training and Facilitation
    • Co-facilitate I&D trainings such as Interrupting Bias trainings
    • Own administrative elements of training scheduling and planning
    • Support with developing resources and content
    • Document and resource management
      • Manage templates and resources to be used by the team (eg QBR templates)
      • Manage internal I&D page(s)
      • Ensure that I&D enablement resources are up-to-date and socialized with appropriate cross-functional partners
      • Support I&D Business Partners in preparing documents (eg reports, decks etc) in support of their client groups
    You Have

    • 2-4 years of operational, project management, and/or program management experience
    • Have a demonstrated interest and commitment to Inclusion and Diversity
    • Ability to work independently to manage multiple ongoing projects and programs with high attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
    • Are willing to roll up your sleeves and help drive the day-to-day work of I&D scheduling trainings, project planning and tracking
    • Have strong communication skills — in particular, you have clear and concise written and oral communication, and have experience in facilitation
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a successful track record of implementing processes that scale; advanced proficiency in Google Sheets (eg pivots tables, vlookup etc)
    • Proficient in G Suite (Google Docs, Gmail, Google Slides etc.)

U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
