Role:

Card Kingdom's Software Development Engineers own Card Kingdom's software products used by both employees and our customers. Primary duties include writing, monitoring, and maintaining software. You will also be writing technical documentation, manual/unit testing, working with stakeholders, and coordinating with your team to ensure high-quality and timely software deployments.

As an SDE II (Software Development Engineer II), you will be given problems with some ambiguity. You will be expected to work with the product team, your manager, and stakeholders to decide what solution will best meet their needs. You will write code following team guidelines. You will drive the team towards technical excellence. You will practice code cleanliness always leaving code in a better state.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop impactful software solutions.
  • Deliver solutions in a timely manner with a low defect rate.
  • Create unit tests against the code you write.
  • Collaborate with QA on testing, planning, and project delivery.
  • Create monitors for your software to add visibility to the health of your solutions.
  • Communicate and coordinate directly with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience
  • Solid knowledge of programming fundamentals and functional knowledge of one or more programming languages, preferably PHP (Laravel) and/or Javascript (Vue)
  • Functional knowledge of SQL and database structures
  • Experience with service-oriented architectures
  • Great attention to detail
  • A strong desire to learn and expand your programming skills

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with AWS technologies.
  • Strong E-commerce experience.
  • Familiarity with security principles like OWASP.
  • Machine Learning experience.

Job Type / Salary

  • Full Time / Exempt
  • Annual Salary Range: $93,000 $131,000
