About Your Next Opportunity

HTC VIVE is hiring a VIVERSE Strategy & Corporate Development Leader to join our global team!

As a key member of the senior leadership team, this role will be instrumental in driving VIVERSE's operational excellence and strategic growth. Furthermore, this role will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensure efficient resource management, and implement strategies that align with VIVERSE's long-term objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in operations management, a strong business acumen, and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams. Exceptional leadership skills, the ability to manage complex projects, and a deep understanding of industry trends and operational best practices are also critical.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Drive Cross-Functional Growth Initiatives:

  • Leverage a strong understanding of product, marketing, operations, and partnership management to develop and execute strategies that drive growth and innovation.

Strategic Leadership & Business Development:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies focused on securing high-value partnerships with mid to large-sized enterprises. Ensure that these partnerships align with company goals and growth targets.

Start-Up Agility & Execution:

  • Apply entrepreneurial skills to run initiatives with the agility of a start-up, focusing on rapid execution and measurable success. Demonstrate hands-on leadership in driving new opportunities and market expansion.

Partnership Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with enterprise-level partners. Ensure that all partnerships add value and align with long-term business objectives. Demonstrate proven success in developing and scaling platform/SaaS partnerships.

Product & Market Expertise:

  • Stay deeply informed on market trends and the competitive landscape, especially within the technology and SaaS sectors. Collaborate with internal teams to integrate product knowledge into growth strategies.

Collaborate Across Teams:

  • Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to align cross-functional goals. Foster a collaborative environment that drives innovation and execution of business strategies.

Enterprise Relationship Building:

  • Focus on establishing and nurturing relationships with enterprise clients, avoiding a focus on small businesses. Excel in managing partnerships with large corporations, ensuring mutual value creation.

Market Expansion & Scalability:

  • Identify new business opportunities that scale growth and drive revenue. Explore untapped markets, leveraging relationships and expertise to establish a strong market presence.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in business development, securing high-value partnerships with mid to large-sized enterprises.
  • Experience working as a Chief Operations Officer.
  • Experience working for a software startup.
  • Proven experience in product, marketing, and partnership management, with the ability to develop and execute strategies that drive growth and innovation across functions.
  • Strong track record of creating and executing business strategies that align with company goals and deliver measurable growth.
  • Ability to lead and execute initiatives with the agility of a start-up, focusing on fast-paced environments and tangible success.
  • Hands-on experience in driving new opportunities, market expansion, and scaling initiatives with a focus on rapid execution.
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining enterprise-level partnerships, particularly in the platform and SaaS sectors.
  • Proven success in developing, scaling, and managing strategic relationships that drive long-term business value.
  • Deep knowledge of market trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a history of working closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to align on and achieve cross-functional goals.
  • Proven ability to manage complex enterprise relationships that generate mutual value and business growth.
  • Ability to leverage expertise and relationships to establish a strong market presence and drive revenue.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Abilities)

  • An MBA or equivalent advanced degree.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Primary work location is indoors.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and long periods of detailed work with VR equipment.

At the time of posting, HTC's estimated annual base salary for this position is $157,700 - $180,700 USD. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including candidate skills, qualifications, experience, business needs, and geographic location. This position is also eligible for participation in our discretionary bonus programs.
