About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Product Manager to lead the revamp and modernization of our dealer online stores. This role requires a mix of product management skills and knowledge about business systems and operational processes in order to create a seamless shopping experience for our dealers. The Product Manager will be responsible for defining a functional spec with requirements for a new Dealer store, socializing and aligning the requirements across the businesses and Dealers, working with the engineering team to build out the new store and working with our User Experience designer on creating and testing a new store front with Dealers. The goal is to modernize the current dealer buying journey and experience, enhance the store functionality to support our channel transformation and evolution, and implement strategies to improve the overall dealer satisfaction.

What You Will Do
  • Requirements Definition and Review
    • Gather requirements for a new Dealer eCommerce store and create a functional spec with project phases
    • Review the spec with internal stakeholders and dealers and collect feedback, iterate based on received feedback
    • Seek project approval, funding and final project sign-off
    • Break down the functional spec into features and user stories with acceptance criteria that our engineering teams can develop against
  • Dealer Experience:
    • Oversee the dealer journey from product entry to purchase, ensuring an intuitive and seamless ordering experience.
    • Organize usability testing with dealers to ensure store usability, navigation, and ordering.
    • Optimize on-site search, navigation, and product entry for an enhanced user experience.
    • Understand requirements around complex configuration for our machine control products and how they can be integrated in our store ordering flows
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the channel operations team to capture requirements to support our channel evolution and transformation
    • Partner with engineering, business systems, and UX teams to ensure smooth implementation of store features and functions
    • Collaborate with the business operations, channel operations and order management teams to address feedback and optimize the overall shopping experience.
    • Collaborate with parallel efforts like the Next-Generation subscription system to align user experience and design
    • Work closely with the program management office in order to organize activities across engineering and cross-functional teams and participate in the Agile software development process
    • Work closely with Product Marketing / Product Management to capture requirements regarding the presentation of offerings within the store
    • Define requirements for internal Trimble teams (Sales & Business Operations, Product Management, etc) to ensure easy & intuitive system management and updates.
    • Collaborate with corporate finance and revenue recognition teams to ensure compliance with financial rules associated with the different transaction types
  • Platform & Technology Selection:
    • Collaborate with technical teams and drive a vendor analysis and selection
    • Create a proposal with recommendations for the optimal platform and technology
    • Oversee the eCommerce store platform, ensuring its functionality, security, scalability, enhancements and API integrations e.g. with dealer ERPs
  • Inventory Management:
    • Collaborate with the warehouse and operations team to identify solutions how to display product availability, inventory levels and lead times
    • Identify solutions to understand dealer sell through volumes, forecasting and sales pipeline
What Skills & Experience You Should Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in eCommerce, product management, business systems, information technology or a similar role.
  • Exposure to Dealer or Reseller business models, buying motions and channel operations.
  • Understanding of online retail and eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
  • Exposure to and understanding of hardware and software transactions and fulfillment.
  • Proven track record of driving growth through product management and optimization initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in managing large-scale online stores or marketplaces for a mix of hardware and software based offerings.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and experience with customer segmentation and personalization tools.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and user-centric design practices.
About Your Location

This position is preferred to be located at our office in Westminster, CO. This is a hybrid position, working 3 days per week in office and 2 days per week from home.
