Mainframe Developer

Job Title: Mainframe Developer IV -906 Location: Onsite Fifth Third Center, Cincinnati, OH.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer IV with 10-20 years of expertise in mainframe technology. The developer will design, develop, test, configure, and provide technical sup port for mainframe systems. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will play a critical role in mainframe application migrations and infrastructure planning while ensuring operational efficiency and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the mainframe SME, ensuring effective design, development, and support of mainframe applications.
• Participate in infrastructure planning and provide future technology insights.
• Lead mainframe application migration projects, collaborating across departments.
• Establish and maintain technical roadmaps, documentation, and system configuration.
• Analyze capacity, performance, and support contingency planning efforts.
• Evaluate vendor proposals, manage build vs. buy decisions, and oversee project execution.
• Stay current with industry developments and apply new concepts to enhance operations.

Technical Skills:
- Must Have: Base SAS Programmer, CICS COBOL, COBOL Mainframe Programmer, IBM MVS Z/OS, JCL, Platform Engineering Mainframe
-Nice to Have:
AmTrust, DevOps tools (GitHub), Wealth Management

Qualifications:

• 10-20 years of mainframe development and infrastructure experience.
• Expertise in mainframe operating systems, hardware, and application development.
• Strong knowledge of mainframe languages and productivity tools.
• Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
