Financial Reporting Systems Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Serve as primary Dodeca & Oracle code designer for financial reporting systems databases and process flows. Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of data. Lead a team of Essbase & Dodeca developers. Demonstrate the company s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the requirements identification and recommend future efficiencies & process improvements, data sourcing & data consumption method for Corporate Accounting, Consolidations and other financial reporting stakeholders
- Own development of technical Dodeca & Oracle architecture for financial reporting
- Drive functional design of reports actuals, tools, statutory reporting, management reporting, & analytics
- Develop programming specifications for architecting & designing reporting within financial reporting systems using best practices & application service functions
- Advise stakeholders on ad-hoc requests for data to make timely decisions
- Serve as a business project management lead for related development & testing activities working with related Essbase & Dodeca developers
- Develop mastery skills over time on where and how to extract the right data at the right time (i.e., Oracle FRS/SmartView/Dodeca/PowerBI/Azure focus, etc.)
- Establish priorities for enhancements/modifications for our financial reporting systems
- Coordinate cross-department initiatives & facilitate the definition of clear responsibilities & business outcomes
- Support and/or lead project work (e.g., modernization, business restructuring & acquisitions)
- Apply data analysis, data modeling & quality assurance techniques to ensure data integrity in the cubes & reporting
- Ensure accuracy & timeliness of data
- Mentor team members in software development principles, patterns, processes & practices
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum
- Bachelor's Degree accounting, finance, computer science, mathematics, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of project management, financial reporting and/or reporting technologies
- 2+ years of experience in a public company, accounting center or public accounting firm or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Excellent time management skills; ability to perform under pressure
- Advanced knowledge of Excel

- Any retail & manufacturing experience
- Any hands on experience in MDX & MAXL
- Any experience in accounting or audit
- Any experience leading technology enabled & business driven reporting strategies
- Any experience with SQL or DB2 developer
- Any experience with AIX or UNIX scripting
- Any experience as an Essbase developer with knowledge of calc scripts, load rules & dimension builds
- 4+ years of management experience
- Proficiency in Essbase and Dodeca technology, architecture & performance tuning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and/or Business Objects
- Strong understanding of relational and/or OLAP databases
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships
- Understanding of ASO/BSO concepts
- Broad knowledge of visualization, reporting and data management technologies
