McNally Enterprises Incorporated is a full service production company located in the heart of Southern California. We provide production services for over 300 events each year on a local, national, and international level. As a full service production company we integrate and utilize our skills in 5 production disciplines; scenic, staging, audio, video, and lighting, to provide a seamless and well executed production experience in all that we do. Our production capabilities are well known throughout the industry, providing for events such as the Grammy Awards, WIF awards, E3 convention, Comic Con, the Espy Awards and hundreds of other events; large and small.
Job Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Support the Project Manager with site supervision of the install team, communication of
- daily job site status, and completion of required job documentation as needed.
- Designing, programming, running, and maintaining lighting and control networks using
- various entertainment lighting control protocols such as DMX and Artnet.
- Assembling Rigging/Truss, Lighting Rig, Power, and Network Infrastructure
- Spotlight Operations/Lighting Control Boards operation.
- Adapting console settings and presets based on show needs.
- Soldering and wiring LED tape/modules, or any custom electrical work.
- Maintenance and repair of lighting equipment including lighting fixtures, consoles,
- networks, and controls.
- Maintaining inventory of lighting equipment and accessories, ensuring proper storage
- and organization.
- Prepping pull sheets and QC ing equipment in the shop.
- Taking direction from onsite project managers, onsite leads, and technicians.
- Working cooperatively within a team and with other departments.
- Lifting various scenic and tech event-related equipment. (50+ lbs.)
- Performing other job responsibilities as assigned by MEI.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing teams on site.
- Experience working in stage production, Theatrical, amusement park, film production, etc.
- Experience using and programming Grand MA 2 console.
- Experience using DMX and Artnet.
- Basic carpentry skills/ability to use power tools.
- Practical experience work on event sites (staging, truss, rigging).
- Excellent physical stamina, and strong communication skills.
- Experience in pro audio systems, video systems and proficiency with stage lighting.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of in-house consoles. (ETC
- Smartfade, Roadhog 3, GrandMA2)
- Expert in communication skills
- Common-sense knowledge of programming and recording cues. Adapting your console based on show needs. (not console specific)
- Strong Leadership skills.
- Working under tight deadlines and client expectations.
- Knowledge of ETC S4 Lights
- Knowledge of Live Event Power Needs
- Knowledge of LED and Moving Fixtures
- Rigging Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of wiring and electricity as it relates to event lighting and electrics, including: Wiring of low voltage LED's, installation of of lighting and other electrical components in scenic elements, soldering, and maintenance of electrical and networking cables.
- Knowledge of show networks, control methods, and infrastructure including the design of show and lighting networks.
