The IT Manager will provide hardware and software solutions across all club departments that ensure successful and secure operations within the budget, timelines and performance requirements set by the club leadership. The successful candidate will have diverse skills, proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of IT industry best practices.

The IT Manager will:
  • Plan and execute a hardware life cycle plan for desktop and mobile computing.
  • Plan and execute a software life cycle plan for business and sporting applications, both on-premises and cloud-based.
  • Plan and execute a storage, access, and backup plan for club data, both on-premises and cloud-based.
  • Administrate the IT workspace, including account provisioning, management, and deprovisioning.
  • Administrate the telecommunications system, including account and system provisioning, management, and deprovisioning.
  • Ensure the security and availability of all club data, endpoints, and networks.
  • Evaluate the suitability of hardware and software to support business and sporting objectives, recommend and implement incremental upgrades.
  • Plan and budget for IT improvements based on leading capabilities, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Publish IT policy to govern employee use of club systems and data.
  • Provide an online knowledge base for employees to research how to operate IT systems, configure personal settings and perform basic level troubleshooting.
  • Provide IT performance metrics to executives which inform decisions on current and future configurations.
  • Supervise contracts that support the club IT operations.
  • Support other club operations as assigned.

Our ideal candidate has:
  • Proven working or relevant experience as an IT Manager.
  • Exceptional knowledge and experience with cloud computing platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Solid organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with desktop and mobile hardware and software configuration, system administration and network management.
  • BS in Computer Science, MIS, or similar fields.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of internal IT operations or independently.
  • Ability to taking ownership of assigned tasks and deadlines and follow through to completion
  • Ability to manage multiple short-term and long-term tasks simultaneously
  • Effective time management skills and attention to detail
  • Desire to learn security operations
  • Experience creating support and policy documentation
  • Willingness to acquire capabilities in order to secure configuration of network components, servers, and operating systems.

Location:

This role is based in our Falls Church, VA office, with occasional work in Washington, D.C. Our front office team follows a hybrid arrangement, requiring presence in the office 3 days a week.
