IT Report Analyst

We currently have a direct hire opportunity available for an experienced IT Report Analyst/Writer. This role is primarily remote with minimal as needed onsite requirements. This individual needs to be in the Pittsburgh market. This role offers a competitive salary, benefits, and PTO.

The IT Report Analyst/Writer will be responsible for following software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices for planning, analysis, development, testing, and deployment of reports for the organizations business units. This individual will interact with peers, business leads and others to define requirements, develop data extracts and design reports. This person will develop reports on several technology platforms available at the organization including MS SQL Server, Thomson Elite Enterprise and Datafusion Intellistat solutions.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:

• Gather report requirements


• Design ETL scripts, reports, OLAP cubes


• Test reports, scripts, and other reporting artifacts


• Resolve data and report design issues


• Implement and maintain reports


• Function as project lead and technical liaison for business-driven requests and analysis


• Collaborate with other technical team members to identify the best reporting platform for the requirement


• Contact the source data owners to coordinate the accurate transfer of data or data requests

Additional Duties:

• Write SQL language queries to support Elite Enterprise and other integrated applications


• Assist with data integration and data migration activities


• Work with stakeholder departments to determine systems and software requirements for new reporting solutions and products


• Develop and document operational procedures and processes around maintenance and support of systems for hand-off to first and second tier supports teams


• Provide technical mentoring and training to other IT resources

Experience and Skills:
Required:

• 3-5 years minimum related experience (If less than 5 years of experience than 4 year degree from an accredited college or university in related field is required)


• Expertise in MS Office Suite including SSRS


• Extensive experience using SQL


• Strong MS Excel experience


• Business Acumen


• Ad hoc experience

Nice to haves:

• SSIS and SSAS


• Elite Enterprise (or 3E)


• PowerBI, DAX, or MDX


• Law firm experience
