Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Windows Server Administrator to join our team for a 12-month contract in Portland, OR. This on-site position is ideal for a mid-level IT professional responsible for handling tickets that cannot be addressed by tier 1 Managed Service Providers (MSP). The role focuses on tier 2-4 support, managing and maintaining Windows server infrastructure to ensure seamless performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and associated hardware and software.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability of server resources.
  • Conduct system updates, patches, and security configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to support business operations.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Windows Server Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2008/2012/2016/2019).
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other network services.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA) are a plus.

Work Permit Requirements:

U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only (GC, USC).
