Job Title: Senior Data Consultant
Location: Redmond, WA 98052, United States (Remote)
Duration: 6 months contract (Possible extension)
Pay Range: $85/h - $92/h on W2, depending upon experience

Job Summary:
The main function of a Software Data Consultant is to establish system information requirements using analysis of information in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
  • Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architectures, and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation and specific to the solution for the platform, integration with other systems, and the external interfaces
  • Ensures that the common operating environment is compliant. Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of work flows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action
  • Provides daily supervision and direction to staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
  • 8-10 years experience required
  • Experience with broad technology delivery, including custom development using various development languages
  • Experience with providing technical leadership, mentoring on software engineering design, development, and frameworks, analyzing alternatives, and presenting technical options to leads and clients
  • Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for small software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations
  • Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments

  • Best vs. Average: The ideal candidate should have experience with AI tools and technologies, even though they won't be building AI models.

Prior Experience working with Microsoft doing data for Microsoft Commercial sellers (nice to have). Experience and expertise with Fabric (Nice to have). Experience working with machine learning models (nice to have). Experience with broad technology delivery, including custom development using various development languages. Experience with providing technical leadership, mentoring on software engineering design, development, and frameworks, analyzing alternatives, and presenting technical options to leads and clients. Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for small software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations. Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments

  • Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on ability to organize and document tasks to get completed. Quality of data models and data analysis. Ability to create the necessary data models and data structures to fulfill the business needs.

  • 10 Years of Experience in Data Analysis and Data Modelling and Data transformation
  • 5+ Years of experience with Data Lake experience and Data Lake architecture.
  • Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for small software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations.

  • Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: ASAP
  • Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include 1-2 panel-style assessment; 45 min 1 hour
  • Required Candidate Preparation: Candidates should have a walkthrough of a previous/similar project in the past prepared prior to the assessment.
