As a Senior Business and Information Analyst, you will use your analytical skills to assess complex business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement data-driven strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that solutions align with organizational objectives and user needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pre-project business problem elicitation, feasibility and business case definition.
  • Works with the business and technology teams to determine the issue(s) that need to be solved, or the opportunity to do things differently.
  • Develops the project case, in particular ensuring benefits align to strategic and tactical objectives.
  • Supports business, technical, and financial feasibility assessments.
  • Works with the project team & stakeholder group to capture and document requirements (functional and non-functional), process flows, and data pipelines, using techniques such as workshop facilitation, document analysis, sites visits, use cases, scenario modeling, and task/workflow analysis. Ensures requirements are concise, complete, specific, and unambiguous, and that they are aligned to the strategic and tactical goals of the project and the organization.
  • Provides refined requirements into project iterations in time to allow design/delivery to commence.
  • Manages the scope and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that they are understood by the project team and met by the delivered solution.
  • Identifies and presents high level solution options for the project scope.
  • Works with the Business Architect, ensuring business processes are aligned with the business and technology architecture.
  • Reviews and signs off on solution designs, ensuring requirements are verified, validated and delivered.
  • Ensures the benefits, impact and release of all changes are tracked and managed and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provides subject matter expertise on the business unit and associated processes and systems to all relevant team members.
  • Assists the Project Manager in identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Assists the team in resolving questions related to requirements or process.
  • Supports the review of contracts drawn up with any third-party suppliers to ensure that they accurately reflect the needs of the project scope.
  • Assists the team with the collection of ideas, entering them into the system of record.
  • Aligns with technology management to have a consistent view into the projects and projects being funded for executive leader report outs.
  • Understanding of Generative AI capabilities and limitations: The BA should have a basic understanding of how generative AI works and its potential applications to identify relevant use cases within the organization.
  • Collaboration with data scientists and AI engineers: The BA will need to work closely with these technical experts to ensure GenAI solutions are feasible and address real-world problems.
  • Evaluation of ethical considerations in GenAI development: Understanding potential biases and ethical implications of GenerAI models is crucial for responsible development.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Information Technology, Business, or similar field; plus 5 years of experience Or Master’s degree in the field of Information Technology, Business, or similar field; plus 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in applying business analysis techniques, such as information gathering methods, requirements documentation, process modeling and process mapping.
  • Understanding of all stages in a project lifecycle and delivery approaches.
  • Knowledgeable in Generative AI/ LLMs and its applications in business processes.
  • Understanding of Machine Learning & AI Concepts.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI techniques.
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Strong business acumen to understand business processes and business problem statements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-space environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with various use cases for Generative AI in the market.
  • Understanding of specific GenAI tools is a plus.

Preferred skills:

  • Practical experience as a BA for data lakehouse solutions and technical data platform . data products.
  • Knowledgeable about Snowflake and different vector store technologies.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Information Technology, Business, or similar field; plus 5 years of experience Or Master’s degree in the field of Information Technology, Business, or similar field; plus 3 years of experience.
  • Any certificates on AI/ GenAI is a plus.

  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
