Responsibilities:
The IT Finance Managers will be responsible for the following tasks, primarily focused on the transition to the new Florida PALM accounting system:
Assume Duties:
- Manage the daily operations of Financial Management Services, including Disbursements, Revenue, and Financial Reporting.
System Integration:
- Oversee the integration of Florida PALM into the department s existing financial operations.
Evaluation and Compatibility:
- Conduct evaluations of existing financial systems and processes to assess compatibility with the new Florida PALM system.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to define the functional and technical requirements for the new system.
Data Migration:
- Plan and execute a seamless migration of financial data from the old system to the new one, ensuring data integrity throughout the process.
Customizations and Reports:
- Customize the Florida PALM system to meet the department's specific financial needs and processes.
- Develop comprehensive financial reports and dashboards to aid decision-making.
Training and Support:
- Design and deliver training programs for staff to ensure effective use of Florida PALM.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to optimize system performance and address user issues.
System Testing:
- Conduct rigorous testing to ensure system accuracy, reliability, and compliance with financial regulations.
Qualifications:
<>Minimum Qualifications:</>- Experience: Must have at least five years of experience utilizing the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) system, including entering transactions.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Three years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or financial systems implementation.
- Experience with enterprise financial systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis techniques and use of data visualization tools to create financial reports and dashboards.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and solve problems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Ability to lead teams, foster collaboration, and challenge team members to innovate.
- Financial Data Management: Expertise in integrating financial data from various sources, maintaining data integrity, and developing reporting tools.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth transition from the FLAIR system to the Florida PALM system while maintaining accurate financial reporting and operations.
