  • Worksite Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)
  • $33-44/hr pay rate
  • 6+ month contract


What you ll do as a Payroll Specialist:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for 1,000 US employees and 50 Canadian employees, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Manage payroll tax issues and work with ADP for tax filings and compliance
  • Assist in employee setup and payroll processing in Deltek Vantage Point and ADP, ensuring accurate data flow from Workday
  • Oversee timesheet approval processes and handle paid time off, cash-outs, and other payroll-related tasks
  • Collaborate with the assistant controller, payroll administrator, and other team members to ensure smooth payroll operations
  • Provide coverage for payroll during team member leaves and manage payroll-related communication
  • Participate in a collaborative, non-micromanaged work environment, taking initiative and raising issues as needed
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, with particular focus on compliance and year-end tasks


What you ll bring to the Payroll Specialist role:

  • Experience with US and Canadian payroll processing, multi-state payroll (including California and Pennsylvania), and compliance
  • Strong familiarity with ADP and Deltek Vantage Point (Vision experience is a plus but not required)
  • Ability to work with timesheet approvals, employee setup in Vantage Point, and data flow from Workday to ADP
  • Comfortable working with both automated (US) and manual (Canadian) payroll processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve payroll tax issues
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, comfortable with open communication and taking ownership of responsibilities
  • Ability to manage bi-weekly payroll cycles and year-end processing tasks, including W2 issuance
