Summary:
The Procurement Specialist will execute the procurement process, develop supplier sourcing strategies, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality components.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement effective sourcing strategies for turnkey electronic components and metals.
- Identify and assess potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to secure optimal pricing, quality, and lead times.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand component requirements and fulfill customer needs.
- Oversee the procurement process, including purchase order execution, inventory control, and cost management.
- Ensure compliance with company, customer, and industry regulations and policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies for mitigation.
- Analyze and report on procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of procurement experience, particularly with electronic components.
- Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of electronic components and the associated supply chain.
- Proficiency in ERP and procurement tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
