Summary:

The Procurement Specialist will execute the procurement process, develop supplier sourcing strategies, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality components.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement effective sourcing strategies for turnkey electronic components and metals.
  • Identify and assess potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to secure optimal pricing, quality, and lead times.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand component requirements and fulfill customer needs.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including purchase order execution, inventory control, and cost management.
  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, and industry regulations and policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies for mitigation.
  • Analyze and report on procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of procurement experience, particularly with electronic components.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of electronic components and the associated supply chain.
  • Proficiency in ERP and procurement tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
