Cybersecurity Analyst

Title: Senior Security Analyst

Location: Lansing, MI (2-days onsite, 3-days remote Hybrid schedule)

Note: This role is NOT open to C2C candidates

The Senior Security Analyst will work as a member of the Security Operations Team, reviewing and remediating cyber incidents and vulnerabilities found by IT-level Analysts to IT Security Specialists and Managers to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.

Job Duties:

• Reviewing and validating security procedures to ensure adequate security procedures have been developed to identify and classify cyber events
• Ensuring that all identified security operations tool issues are promptly and thoroughly investigated
• Identifying, reviewing and validating specifications and the implementation of security hardware and software, implementing corrective action, as needed
• Performing administration of proxy servers and information systems
• Performing administration of endpoint detection, response servers, and agents, and Intrusion Protection and Intrusion Detection Systems
• Providing excellent customer service

Job Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in IT Security
• Experience with Linux, Windows, and Unix
• Experience working with enterprise packet capture tools
• Experience working with Enterprise Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS/IDS)
• Experience with daily administration, including configuring, deploying, and architecting security network tools and security
• Experience in the configuration and administration of network taps
• A strong understanding of engineering rules, with the ability to employ engineering best practices
• Experience developing integrations with threat intelligence feeds
• Subnetting experience
