Product Manager/Owner HR Services Modernization

As we accelerate our efforts to modernize, we are seeking a talented Product Owner to assist in redefining our HR Services through workflow automation and enabling technologies.

The ServiceNow (SNOW) business product owner will play a critical role in aligning the business strategy and roadmap for HR service delivery with digital experience, digital strategies, and evolving technology capabilities. Partnering with technology experts, business partners, process owners, journey owners, experience design, and digital experience, the product owner will collaborate closely with various teams and stakeholders. The goal is to ensure the product and its capabilities support a seamless end-to-end employee digital experience that enhances engagement, performance, and retention.

You will define a product vision and roadmap aligned with experience principles, digital strategies, and technology capabilities. This will drive efficiency and transparency across multiple HR processes by implementing features like workflow automation, largely leveraging SNOW, Workday, Optimizely, HR Acuity, and AbsenceSoft.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Vision:

  • Share accountability for the vision and execution of the HR Service Delivery Model process and digital product modernization tied to business outcomes.
  • Develop an understanding of the HR Service Delivery Model, specifically ER and Health Services Processes, and the supporting technology.
  • Identify pain points and opportunities within the service experience to prioritize high-value outcomes.
  • Deliver strategic recommendations connected to digital experience priorities, technology strategy, and HR service delivery outcomes. Examples include product roadmap recommendations, considerations focused on search and chat bot/virtual agent experience, AI opportunities, and vendor future release roadmaps.

Develop Roadmap:

  • Share accountability for cross-functional strategic roadmaps, in addition to domain products.
  • Lead data-driven development of the roadmap based on employee voice and other experience data.
  • Define and track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to measure success.
  • Partner with HR COEs to align HR strategic priorities with digital experience capabilities, creating more efficient employee experiences.

Gather Requirements:

  • Gather complex product requirements with general knowledge of the products in scope.
  • Review and validate requirements from business partners.
  • Develop epics and features aligned with business outcomes and define level 0 requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, engineering, and technology partners to deliver results.

Define Product:

  • Redefine complex business processes and related products and features from start to finish.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Communicate and market domain products to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment with the product strategy and vision.
  • Identify areas of change and impacts that need to be addressed throughout the product lifecycle.

Feature Prioritization:

  • Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation based on business value or ROI.

Data & Customer Research:

  • Use both qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions.
  • Partner with data and insights teams to understand the current state of experience and gaps.

Delivery & Resolution:

  • Identify and resolve issues that may impair the ability to meet strategic, financial, or technical goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Product Management role, with agile team experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the HRSD modules of ServiceNow and familiarity with workflow automation tools.
  • Business analyst skills and an analytical mindset are highly desired.
  • Experience with AI, design thinking/human-centered design, chat bot/virtual agent/search experience, systems thinking, and integrations/integrated experiences is preferred.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience, communication skills, time management, and project management expertise.
  • Proven ability to work with all organizational levels, including executives.
  • High business acumen, self-awareness, and EQ.
  • Ability to influence decision-making, build leadership partnerships, and translate product requirements into technical specifications.
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and solve complex problems.
  • Knowledge of modern workflow automation tools to think beyond existing solutions.
